Karpura Gauram is considered one of the most powerful protective mantras. Chanting this Shiva mantra strengthens your concentration, connects you with Lord Shiva, the incarnation of compassion, and helps you to deal with challenging situations in life.
Literal translation: To the one who knows (gauram) as camphor (karpura) is, the incarnation (avatara) of compassion (karuna),the essence (sara) of the world’s course (saram), whose necklace (hara) is the best of serpents (bhujagendra), who always (sada) dwells (vasat) in the lotus (aravinda) of my heart (hridaya), to Shiva (Bhava), accompanied (sahita) by Shakti (Bhavani), I bow (namani).
